Requirements

Bank: Banco de la República Oriental del Uruguay
  • Valid CI (Identity Card)
  • Proof of address (bill or receipt in your name, showing your address)
  • Constancia de inscripción al RUT:
    - DGI (General Tax Authority) Forms 6906 and 6951 (web version) or
    - DGI Forms 6351 and 6361 (paper version)
  • Proof of income through one of these documents:
    - DGI affidavit
    - Balance sheet of the past year
    - Certified Public Accountant's certificate for sales during the past year

    Companies under the “Monotributo” or “Literal “e”” regime are not required to provide proof of income.
  • Those companies that, not having completed an economic cycle, request to open an account, must submit an estimated cash flow for one year issued by a Certified Public Accountant with a signature registered at bank BROU (Banco de la República Oriental del Uruguay).

  • Proof of address (bill or receipt under SAS name, showing the address)
  • Proof of registration with the RUT:
    - DGI Forms 6906 and 6951 (web version) or
    - DGI Forms 6351 and 6361 (paper version)

    In the case of conversion from a sole ownership to a SAS, a notarized certificate must also be submitted certifying the RUT number of the previous sole ownership.
  • Articles of association or social contract, and any amendments thereto, or document evidencing the conversion of a sole ownership into a SAS
  • Proof of registration in the National Registry of Legal Entities, National Commercial Registry Section (Registro Nacional de Personas Jurídicas, Sección Registro Nacional de Comercio)

    - In the case of appointment of a legal representative by means other than a contract or articles of association, submit a Simplified Joint Stock Company
    - Letter of Association, signed by the authorized persons, communicating the complete integration of the board of directors or executive board.
    - If the appointment of the administrator or legal representative is the responsibility of a legal entity, a notarized certificate must also be submitted certifying the appointment of the natural person who will act on behalf of the legal entity administrator or legal representative, with proof of the legal entity's legal status and representation.
  • Certificate issued by the National Registry of Legal Entities, National Commercial Registry Section, dated no more than 15 calendar days prior to the submission date.
  • Proof of income through one of these documents:

    - DGI affidavit
    - Balance sheet of the past year
    - Certified Public Accountant's certificate for sales during the past year
