To discuss best practices and challenges of the industry, key players gathered in a new edition of Uruguay Best Practices in Pharma Supply Chain. The experts shared their knowledge and experiences on various topics, including sustainability and innovation.
The event was organized by the investment, export and country image promotion agency, Uruguay XXI, together with the National Logistics Institute (INALOG) and the Uruguay Pharma Hub group, made up of the international companies Adium Pharma, AstraZeneca, Boehringer Ingelheim, Glaxo Smith and Kline, Mega Labs, Merck, Pfizer and Roche, leaders in the pharmaceutical industry with logistics and supply chain operations in Uruguay. The activity allowed us to interact with the private sector to identify improvement opportunities focused on the business environment and promoting Uruguay as an investment destination.
During the event our coordinator, Alejandro Ortíz, was interviewed about the importance of VUI’s participation.
“It is an important event for the regional pharmaceutical industry, where local and foreign companies meet to discuss good practices and difficulties. It is important for VUI to understand the reality of the companies to work forward the improvement and efficiency of the investment processes,” he said.
VUI will continue working with the agencies to improve the business environment and make the arrival of new companies in the country more efficient.
